JIW Alum Attend Virtual ReunionJIW girls go on a S.T.E.M. Field Trip to Microsoft

In a celebration of 20 years of Empowerment Resources, Inc.,  alumni of the Journey Into Womanhood girls’ program recently reunited virtually to exchange updates on their journeys as career women, mothers, and friends. The reunion took place Tuesday, March 26th via Zoom. With laughter, stories, and an abundance of shared wisdom, the alumni reflected on the bonds created through their shared experiences. The 16 alumni in attendance were from various graduating classes, residing in multiple states across the country, all with diverse backgrounds and careers spanning from Nursing, Social Work, Insurance, Speech and Language Pathology and Entrepreneurs.

“This is something many of us didn’t know we needed,” said Jasmine J., a 2008 graduate of JIW, “it was great catching up with everyone on the call and seeing how much we still have in common.”

From celebrating professional milestones to navigating the joys and challenges of motherhood, each conversation highlighted the great benefits of the life skills they learned from JIW. As they reminisced about the program that set the foundation for their growth, it was evident that the lessons learned and connections made continue to shape their lives.
