Volunteers are integral to ensuring Empowerment Resources Inc. (ERI) is able to fulfill its mission of empowering children and families to lead healthy, productive lives. ERI volunteers contribute their time and energy to create meaningful programs for the people we serve. We are always looking for individual volunteers and businesses who wish to share their commitment and gifts either directly with children and families or behind-the-scenes. Volunteers can commit to as little as a few hours a month or for a lifetime. Empowerment Resources Inc. is searching for volunteers with talents including, but not limited to:
If you are interred in volunteering, please fill out the pre-application below. After that time you will be contacted about a possible interview. All volunteers must go through an application process, which may include an interview, background screenings, DCF Affidavit of Good Moral Character, and provide letters of recommendation before an applicant is allowed to volunteer with the program or organization. All volunteers who serve as mentors must complete a comprehensive training. Only adult females are allowed to volunteer at Journey Into Womanhood youth workshops and serve as mentors.
